Should the opponent somehow get close enough to Mind Games for melee combat to become possible, the Stand will simply strangle them with the incredible strength in its arms, either killing or stunning the target. However, in other areas, such as Eastern Asia, Mind Games can manifest said mirages 110 metres, and can even physically injure the target with the mirages. In cold areas, the stand's abilities will decrease in Range, for example in the Arctic Circle, Mind Games can merely manifest the mirages 15 metres away, and spontaneous combustion does not occur. However, this is only when the stand is at its most powerful.
This renders melee combat almost completely useless against Mind Games, and forces opponents to use attacks with longer range. In addition, the body temperature of nearby people or animals will drastically increase the closer they get to the stand, at one point causing spontaneous combustion. However each person who witnesses these mirages will see them as their worst nightmare, rather than anyone else's. Mind Games has the ability to create heat mirages which manifest as the worst nightmare of the target, and can be seen by anyone within the range. Mind Games does not have a complete face, either, just two glowing crimson eyes, visible underneath its hat. It will let go of its cloak to create its mirages (see below) and stick two long, thin arms out which appear to be made of pure shadow. The Honor Badges can be exchanged for features such as "New Game+", "Star Platinum: The World" which allows Jotaro to use his time stopping ability on New Game+ saves, and "Josuke Story Mode" which replaces the player character with Josuke from Diamond is Unbreakable. After completing the game, the player is transported into a "Secret Room" where they could spend Honor Badges which are found throughout the game. There are many endings that can be obtained in the game, with some relying on the player's actions during the story like the amount of Friend Points the player has with the crusaders and their Stand. The game follows the source material but allows the player to make choices that would diverge the story's events.
Interacting with the crusaders increases a "Friend Point" value. Every map contains secrets containing references to other parts of JoJo. During this point of the game, the player can fight enemies placed throughout the map in a turn based battle where they could level up and get stronger. The character leaves home and goes to school. The player is then given the ability to name themselves, their nickname, and their catchphrase. The player is given 1 of 18 different Stands by a mysterious benefactor known only as "Steel", based on answers to a personality quiz given at the beginning of the game from Muhammad Avdol. The game is an RPG that takes place during Stardust Crusaders in a what-if scenario where a custom character joins the crusaders on their journey to Egypt in order to kill DIO.
